We're not about short-term competition goals. We embrace diversity, development and healing though our BJJ community and BJJ training. We teach people techniques and allow space to learn them. Our Martial Arts training environment is backed by the Rogue BJJ Code of Conduct. 

Our exclusive membership at Mandala Studio allows us to provide the safest and most effective training environment possible. Our members are part of Community Mandala with an All Access Membership including unlimited  holistic yoga classes. membership is by invitation after you meet Mike, talk through your intentions and watch a class. We get that not all people are suited to Rogue BJJ Canberra.

You're in control of your learning outcomes at Rogue BJJ Canberra. Come prepared with questions and the answers to your questions will be explored in class. This supports and celebrates the different stage you are at in your martial arts training no matter your age, cardiovascular fitness, strength, flexibility, technical ability or size. It's the training you need when you need it. 

Rogue BJJ Canberra is not your usual Canberra BJJ club. Our martial arts classes are limited in numbers and we are a community first and foremost. This small group training approach will give you the attention you need. It allows us to deliver highly technical training and offer feedback. Your training aspirations will be supported as you develop your personal expression of Brazilian jiu jitsu. 

We manage a positive and safe BJJ training environment at Mandala Studio. All members are assured they have a place to come and train without welfare or safety concerns. This is why we don't take walk-ins. Everyone trains in a familiar and supervised environment. All potential Rogue BJJ Canberra members are vetted before membership is offered. Member safety is our top priority.

Techniques are not universal, principles are. Head coach Mike Armstrong is a black belt with 25 years experience teaching BJJ and other martial arts. He has a highly technical instructing style based on his personal grappling principles. Mike uses different techniques to illustrate principles rather than a standard technique syllabus. This way, we're able to support individual approaches to BJJ.
