Mike is a 25-year BJJ pro and experienced senior teacher who's studied martial arts most of his life. He's a highly skilled black belt in BJJ and Karate and is passionate about the benefits of BJJ. He's driven, sincere, kind and connected. As a senior coach and mentor, Mike encourages everyone to see what BJJ naturally does mentally, physically, and emotionally. He has a highly technical instructing style based on his grappling principles. Mike uses different techniques to illustrate principles rather than a standard technique syllabus. He's driven to support individual approaches and group collaboration in BJJ.
David is a curious and creative BJJ instructor. He has spent his career in BJJ being one of the smallest on the mat, and as a result, his understanding is highly technical, favouring substantial leverage and structure. David is highly motivated, clever, funny and patient. He's generous with his knowledge and seamlessly links principles to techniques in his classes.
Tom is a senior educator who believes that self-development and balance cultivate well-being. He's a gentle soul who cares deeply about the health of his community. After practicing martial arts, including Goju Ryu Karate and Taekwondo, for most of his life, he has a unique BJJ teaching style. He offers detailed Rogue BJJ Canberra classes with inquisitive expertise and generous support.
Dylan took up martial arts as an adult, looking for a challenge. A smart and dedicated martial artist, Dylan is a long-time student of Mike. He is a passionate member of the Rogue BJJ community and has contagious enthusiasm for sharing his knowledge. Expect a coach who is attentive and always happy to support a beginner on the mat.
Louis is a founding member of Rogue BJJ and has taken to the art like a duck to water. Known for his ever-patient support of new members, Louis helps guide community members with patience, focus and discernment. He embodies a thoughtful and patient teaching style.
Jake's obsession with detail has made him an attentive instructor with an eye for nuance. Generous as a training partner, mentor and instructor, Jake leads a well-considered BJJ lesson. Expect dedicated and detailed training with Jake, his inquisition leading his BJJ coaching with support and attention.
Tracey is a holistic Yoga Teacher and offers complimentary authentic yoga classes to all Rogue BJJ members at our Wellbeing studio in Lyneham. Squish is an adored member of our team, owned by Tracey and Mike. An English bulldog, he gets about town by their side and loves everybody at the studio. He happily greets everybody in the studio, offering presence, play and comfort. He generates smiles everywhere, especially when he sleepily snores during yoga classes. In 2023, he was immortalised as Rogue BJJ Canberra mascot.
We're located on the ground floor of the EMBARK building in Lyneham, facing Northbourne Avenue. The Macarthur Avenue tram stop is 200 m away, and on-street parking is available behind the building or in nearby carparks.
