Principles class
Understand the why, apply the how
Master the core concepts of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Understand the reasoning behind every movement and build a more technical, adaptable game.
The Rogue philosophy
Ideas that hold up under pressure
Real understanding comes from knowing the reasoning behind a position. In these sessions we explore the biomechanics and leverage that sit underneath the curriculum, so you can apply techniques when someone is actually resisting.
We go beyond isolated moves and teach you to link techniques into a game that holds together in live training. Whether you are building a foundation or refining years of practice, Principles develops situational awareness, stamina and functional strength on and off the mats.
Technical growth
Learn the core mechanics of BJJ so your technical understanding compounds over time instead of resetting each week.
Link and chain
Move past single techniques. Connect movements into a cohesive game with a next step in every scenario.
Total development
Build the situational awareness and functional fitness that serve you in training and in everyday life.
Class focus
The pillars of training
We focus on the ideas that make BJJ work — not just the moves, but the thinking behind them.
Comprehension
We break down the reasoning behind techniques so you can understand and retain them for live application.
Adaptation
Take core concepts and drill them until they suit your own body type and style, not somebody else's.
Connectivity
Train to link techniques together, so you always have a next step when the first one does not land.
Awareness
Develop the ability to read the mat, manage your energy and apply strength where it actually matters.
