What the memberships include

The detail

Rogue BJJ Member

Access to the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes on the weekly timetable — Beginners, Principles, Explore, Self Defence and Open Mat.

Rogue BJJ + Yoga Member

Everything in the BJJ membership, plus yoga. Yoga runs on the Flow and Food schedule rather than the BJJ timetable, so ask us for the current times.

Rogue BJJ Mastery Program

Everything in the BJJ membership, plus twelve private sessions a year with Mike — six on technique and six on your training practice.

Kids and Youth

Three ways to pay for one class a week

The Kids class (ages 5 to 9) and the Youth class (ages 10 to 15) each run once a week, on Tuesdays, during the school term. Both are the same price. Whichever way you pay, you pay for the weeks the class runs and nothing in the school holidays.

  • Term, paid upfront $265
  • Weekly $30
  • 10-class pack $325

Pay for the term

The cheapest way to train, and the simplest — one payment and it is sorted until the holidays.

Pay weekly

If you would rather go week to week. Billing pauses over the school holidays, so you are never charged for a week without a class.

Buy a 10-class pack

Credits rather than a fixed schedule. Share them between brothers and sisters, and top up when they run out.

A school term is usually nine to eleven weeks, and the term fee is the same whichever it is. Term 4 runs 13 October to 18 December — ten Tuesdays, so paying for the term saves you $35 against paying weekly.

Prepaid terms and packs are valid for fifteen weeks, and we can pause or extend that if your child is injured or away — just tell us.

About Kids & Youth classes

Visiting Canberra

Passing through?

If you train somewhere else and you are in town for a week, you are welcome on the mats. Visiting grapplers pay $80 for the week, including GST.

If you live in Canberra, this is not the rate for you — your first week is free, whether you have grappled for ten years or never. The visitor rate is for people who are genuinely passing through.

Visitors train in Mike’s classes and Open Mat. Register before you arrive and sign the waiver like everyone else — we do not take walk-ins, and that applies to visitors too. Get in touch and we will sort out which sessions suit you.

One to one

Private tuition

An hour, one to one with Mike. Worth considering if you want to work on something specific, if you are coming back from an injury and would rather rebuild carefully than jump into a class, or if starting in a group is simply not where you want to begin.

  • One session $160
  • Five or more booked together $128 a session

A block of five is $640, which saves you $160. Private sessions are also built into the Mastery Program above, which includes twelve a year: six on technique and six on training practice.

Get in touch and we will find a time that works.

Uniform

Gear

  • Gi $155

You do not need a gi to start. Comfortable athletic clothing without zips or pockets is fine for your first sessions, and we will help you sort gear out once you decide to keep training.

Hoodies, jumpers, t-shirts and stickers are in the studio too. Everything and what it costs is on the club gear page.

Notice periods, pausing, refunds and what happens if we change something are all in the membership terms.

Before you commit

Your first week is free

Train for a week before you decide anything — eight sessions, all of them taught by Mike. Register in advance; Rogue does not take walk-ins, and every class is capped at twelve.
